Refund Policy

Nature of Our Products

All products sold by Apothecary Journal are digital products delivered electronically.

No physical goods are shipped unless a product page specifically states otherwise.

Digital Delivery

After successful payment, you will receive access to your digital product by email, download link or another electronic delivery method.

Delivery is usually immediate, although occasional delays may occur because of payment processing, email filtering or technical issues.

If you cannot find your download email, please check your spam, junk or promotions folders before contacting us.

Change-of-Mind Refunds

Because our products are digital and can be accessed or downloaded immediately, we do not normally offer refunds simply because you:

  • changed your mind

  • purchased the wrong product

  • no longer want the product

  • did not read the product description before purchasing

  • expected something different from what was clearly described on the product page

  • do not have suitable software, equipment or printing facilities to use the files

This does not affect your statutory rights where digital content is faulty, not as described or otherwise does not meet the standards required by law.

Your Right to Cancel Digital Content

UK customers normally have a 14-day cancellation period for distance purchases.

However, that right can end once supply of digital content begins if you have:

  1. expressly agreed that the digital content may be supplied immediately, and

  2. acknowledged that you will lose your 14-day cancellation right once supply begins.

This is the rule we apply when providing immediate access to downloadable products.

Where required, you will be asked to give this consent during the purchase process.

If the legally required consent and acknowledgement are not obtained, your statutory cancellation rights may continue to apply.

Faulty, Corrupted or Incorrect Files

Please contact us if:

  • your download link does not work

  • a supplied file is corrupted

  • significant pages or files are missing

  • you receive a different product from the one ordered

  • the digital content does not materially match its description

  • a technical fault prevents you from accessing or using the supplied content as intended

We will normally try to resolve the issue first by:

  • restoring your access

  • supplying a new download link

  • replacing the affected file

  • supplying the missing content

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, digital content must meet applicable legal standards. Where the law gives you a right to a refund, we will honour that right.

When a Refund May Be Issued

A refund may be provided where:

  • we cannot supply the digital product you purchased

  • a significant technical fault cannot reasonably be corrected

  • the product is materially different from its advertised description

  • you have accidentally been charged more than once for the same purchase

  • you otherwise have a statutory right to a refund

Where a statutory refund is due, it will be provided without undue delay and, where required by law, within 14 days of us agreeing that you are entitled to the refund.

Duplicate Purchases

If you accidentally purchase the exact same product more than once, please contact us as soon as possible.

Once we have verified the duplicate transaction, we can refund the additional charge.

Download and Access Problems

If your order confirmation arrives but your files do not, contact us.

Please include:

  • your name

  • the email address used for the purchase

  • your order number, if available

  • the name of the product purchased

  • a brief description of the problem

We may ask for screenshots or other information to help us diagnose technical issues.

Product Compatibility

Our products are supplied in the formats described on the individual product page, typically printable digital files such as PDFs.

Customers are responsible for checking that they have compatible software and equipment before purchase.

However, if a product does not work in the way we expressly stated it would, please contact us and we will investigate.

Printing

When printing at home, colours, sizing and print quality can vary depending on:

  • printer settings

  • printer model

  • ink

  • paper

  • screen calibration

  • scaling settings

Minor variations between what appears on your screen and a printed result are not normally considered faults.

Please follow any printing instructions supplied with the product.

Bundles

Where products are sold as a bundle, the bundle is treated as a single digital purchase unless otherwise stated.

If only one part of a bundle is faulty, we may first replace or correct that part rather than refunding the entire bundle.

Where UK consumer law gives you a refund right relating only to part of supplied digital content, any refund may be limited to the affected part of the purchase price.

Sale And Discounted Products

Your statutory rights apply equally to products purchased during promotions, discounts or sales. A discounted price does not remove your legal rights if digital content is faulty or not as described.

Chargebacks And Payment Disputes

If there is a problem with your order, please contact us before starting a payment dispute or chargeback so we have an opportunity to resolve it.

Where a chargeback is made, we may provide the payment provider with relevant transaction information, including order records, delivery records and download or access information.

Refund Method

Approved refunds will normally be returned to the original payment method unless another method is expressly agreed.

We do not charge a fee for refunds required under consumer law.

Your bank or payment provider may take additional time to show the refund in your account.
